Biographies: Robert Coulson Interview
Robert Coulson was commissioned into the King’s Royal Rifle Corps in 1918 at the age of 19. He was ordained in the 1940s and founded the Fellowship of Contemplative Prayer. Robert was the rector at St Mary’s Church, Stansted, from 1951 to 1961.
In the interview recording below Robert Coulson talks about his life and work to the Reverend Michael Blood of BBC West Midlands starting with background sound from the Easter Vigil, at the Church of St Mary Magdalen, Jerusalem. The recording was made at his retirement home in Oxfordshire in April 1991 when he was 91 years of age and is made available courtesy of the Fellowship of Contemplative Prayer.
